Hypnotherapy
A hypnotherapy treatment uses guided relaxation, intense concentration and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness commonly referred to as trance.
This trance-like state, which we all enter into naturally, many times throughout our day, is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, meditation or even one’s own thoughts.
Have you ever driven a car and noticed that you don’t remember part of the journey? This is because you have entered a trance-like state.
You will also be aware that, although you don’t remember part of the journey, you were fully in control while driving your car; indicating, stopping at a red light, following a familiar route to your destination, all whilst in this trance-like state and that is the same during a hypnotherapy session. You will enter into a trance-like state while being fully in control throughout the session.
